Sisters Weekend

So, what's going on with the Sister's Weekend? Did we ever decide on a date? Is it for sure May 16-17? I just want to make sure so I can start making plans. It may seem early now, but May will sneak up on us so fast! Let's get planning! How much money do we need to bring? Where are we staying? What are we going to do? Should we start doing Sun Dances so it doesn't rain on us? What airport should we fly into? Should we coordinate to arrive at similar times? Just throwing stuff out there!

I can't answer your question about the dates, but as far as airports, the Seattle one is the closest. I've offered in the past to have everyone stay at my apartment, (i would kick Ben and Lydia out to his sisters house) but I don't know what the consensus of everyone is. Some pros of staying here would be that those that have to bring babies would have a separate room to put them to sleep in, we can borrow a couple of eurobeds from one of my friends (they're supposed to be the really nice air mattresses) Seattle is only about 15 min. away (the airport is on the other side of the city, so it's about 45 min away.) there's a transit system close, so we could ride the bus to seattle if we wanted, There's a huge mall across the street from us...etc.
As for how much $...that depends if we're staying in a hotel and the different things people want to do, I've been wondering the same things!
Pike's Place is definitely on the list of things to do...
LETS PLAN!! (

I like the idea of staying at Whit's apartment. It would save money which is nice! That is my opinion! :)

I'm really excited for our weekend! I think we should stay in a hotel downtown. We would be closer to the airport and we could hopefully just walk to most destinations. If we do stay at Whitney's there's the problem of how we are all going to get to her place. We would definitely have to coordinate flights, and then there's the question of how everyone is going to get to her house- I don't think her car is big enough for everyone- including babies and luggage. If we stay downtown, people could get in whenever and take a taxi or hotel shuttle to our hotel and since we're not there for very long anyways we would spend less time traveling to and from the airport and more time playing. Ronni said the cost of rooms would most likely be $50 per person total (two nights), if we plan it now it might make it easier to save for it. Also, if we do stay at Whitney's we will have to most likely pay for a rental car and gas. Just a thought- I am just trying to maximize our time together! I am happy to do whatever everyone wants.

I'm working on the costs of everything (airfare, hotel, shuttle prices, food, etc.) so before we decide about where to stay, let me give you some numbers to think about...

Just in case there's any confusion, I wanted to let you all know that the Seattle (Seatac) airport is not in Seattle. It's actually 20 min. south of Seattle, and if there's traffic, it could be around 30. So, people might want to coordinate flights whether everyone stays at my place or not. I know there are shuttles at the airport, but I don't know how much they cost, and they will take you anywhere you want to go. There's a great transit system as well, that's pretty cheap. $3.00 can pretty much get you anywhere. Just thought I'd let ya know!

It does make more sense staying in a hotel downtown. I"m up to anything and am excited for it! It sounds fun so far! I've never had a pedicure so I am interested in that! :)

I'm up for whatever. Just hangin' out with the girls! I think a food budget would be nice. Should we plan on two meals out? Three? Just dinner? Manicures? Pedicures? Shopping? Activities? I know there will be other expenses, but I just need help with a rounded number. I'm not too rich right now, so I'm just trying to figure stuff out! Can't wait, though!

PS. . .why the word verification? Whon in their right mind cannot see what letters are in the little box? I just do not understand the need for that thing!

I'm really excited for the sisters weekend! Hearing all of the previous info... I'm kinda up for staying downtown in a hotel! It makes more sense! I'm so excited and am up for shopping, a pedicure, and anything else!

Kenna, what's up with the PS? What in the world are you talking about?!!

As for expenses, I think we should just go by what people are able to do, -we're there to be together, if something costs too much there's no reason to have to do it. Let's just hang out and have fun!

It's the word verification box below the 'leave your comment' box. Is it only me that has to enter what I see in order to post my comment? Am I the retard? None of my comments will be posted until I enter what I see in that little box. It's kinda irritating.

I don't have that little box. Hmmmm, who knows what that's all about!
